Uhm, Ipod Trouble D=?

Okay so, i have the ipod touch (2nd Generation), and i just got it like a month ago. And on the first ipod touch i had, it picked up every wireless network around my house. and the new one i got wont. soo is there anything i need to do? orr does the 2nd generation just suck that badly?
