Should I approach my wife's friend about being a sperm donor for her niece?
My wife and I have been married for three years. She has a teenage son from a previous marriage; I have no children. We agreed if we have children, that's great. If not, that's ok, too. However, she got pregnant and I was thrilled; she decided to have an abortion because she felt it would be too stressful on her body. I agreed, but in my heart, I really wanted that child. Now, she is 48 and I am 44. Recently, a good friend of my wife's casually said she has a niece who wants a child and has considered in vitro fertilization. Her problem is she can't find the a good match. And from my wife's friend's description, oddly enough, I think I fit the bill. I want to have a private conversation with her to ask if she will introduce me to her niece. Honestly, I could care less about the ; I really want a child and this seems like a perfect opportunity to realize a dream. I know this is rather bold and I also realize it could jeopardize a family, but I am convinced we could get through it. So, should I approach my wife's friend about this?
