What dog breed to get?

Hii ok well its really fun having a dog especially when you first get it. i, however, would not suggest you go out and pay a ton of money for a pure breed puppy. many and many dogs don't have a home like the ones in the shelter. i have three animals( 2 cats and 1 dog) and i saved them all. think how good you would feel if you got a cute little puppy from the shelter that doesn't have a home instead of paying lots of money to buy a dog that has a perfectly happy home. so consider it a lot to save one. think how good you would feel knowing you saved a life. its an amazing feeling saving a life. you may think oh shelter dogs are dirty and unhealthy but a lot of them aren't at all like that. they are just the same as a dog you get from a breeder, except it might not be pure breed. so really consider saving a dog from a shelter. but anyway have fun with ur future puppy. hope this helped :)

Will chopping/tilling/Turning the soil around my sunflowers hurt it or help it?

As the topic title reads. I have been trying to grow evening sun sunflowers, and I started about a week ago. They're growing at a pretty steady rate , and Im paying close attention to them by checking for bugs, fungus, and the what nots so that they may grow unhindered. I reinforce their growing stems with a mound of dirt around each one for support, and I do not use pesticides or anything other than a mild plant food that I ter every once and awhile. I water it plenty enough to keep the soil moist, and I emphasize how much I keep an eye on these little guys. I tried growing one up in my apartment in newfoundland and it grew pretty well but just eventually gave out because it needed more than just what the pot had to offer I suppose. Any tips and advice (such as identifying stages with this sunflowers growth, or any major information that I should know). I turn the soil and keep it aerated around the mounds I have but I dont know if Im doing something good or bad.Thanks!

Linksys wrt54gs problems?

I have a linksys wireless router and i have 2 problems, one i cant remeber my old pword and cant seem to set up a new pword for my network so i leave it unsecured which i know is not a good idea and second, it always goes out and says it cant detect my signal so i have to restart it or unplug it, the last time i did that it started all over and i have to reconfigure it and my computer says its connected to the name of my network but the linksys advisor says its trying to configure the router and cant pick up an internet signal when the computer says its already connected to the signal, am i gonna just have to buy a new one and start all over? its sooooo frustrating

My mother was Narcissistic, and never loved me for who I really was, only for what I did. Because of her I developed a compulsion to try to please everybody, and never learned how to be myself or what I really liked, because I was always doing things to try and gain her affections. I've been married for almost 2 years, and I have two children. We've been in poverty since right after we got married, and I feel that I could give my children a better life if I separated from my husband. My audible email alert sounds for incoming mail quit working, I tried all venues, can someone help me?

My audible email alerts quit working the other day for no reason, the alert system that lets you know when you have a new email. The alert rings and the new email appears at the bottom of the tray and then a yellow envelope appears and then a star appears on top of that envelope. All of this quit working and I have tried everything. I went into Yahoo Messenger and applied the alert again for a million times and it still doesn't work. I know the ringing alert sound is working because I can do it Manually and the ringing sound works fine, it's just Not Synchronized with the incoming emails.. Does anyone have any more suggestions? How should I handle this communication situation?

My girlfriend moved to the other side of the country about two months ago, for a job. She did all right with staying in touch for a while, and has always maintained that she wants for the two of us to stay together. But, eventually, she mysteriously stopped talking to me. With the advice of some close friends, I decided to hold off from talking to her until she talks to me, to give her some space. A month has ped now, and it doesn't seem that she will ever get in touch. It is by far the longest we have ever gone without speaking to one another in the history of our one-year relationship, and I'm quite worried that something is wrong. The lapse in communication is unacceptable to me, as she promised from the beginning that we would make this work, and frequent communication was a condition of that. I feel the need to contact her myself now and decide whether or not this will work out, but I'm afraid that with the frustration I feel toward her not communicating with me will cause me to be angry in approaching her. Basically, I feel like I could be wasting my time waiting around for her if she doesn't want to be with me anymore, and I feel an urge to get to the bottom of it so I can get past all of it. Is this legal? Supplemental Security Income?

Ok, my fiance was incarcerated on August 30th, will not get out until October 13th. First problem, he is on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for his disability. He has been receiving this income since he was 11 years old. He is permanently disabled and was incarcerated for something that his disability caused... (It is a mental disability, mind you) He had an appointment, his first ever review case appointment, and because of his incarceration, and the length of it, they are telling me they are canceling his SSI income, after 20 years!? I understand that his needs are being met, meaning his housing and bills, but what about his needs out here? I mean, how is it legal to cancel his SSI that he's been receiving for over 20 years when his rent still has to be paid for so he doesn't lose his house, and his electricity bill still has to be paid for so he has electricity when he comes home, and he still has a family that lives off of that income every month? Someone please help me... This is the last place I have gone to looking for answers.... Please help...

I just took my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac to Firestone. They said my intake manifold gasket is leaking. They suggest that I not only get a new gasket, but another intake manifold as well, bc accoding to them, its better to get it all in one fail swoop bc the manifold itself is likely to fail. How accurate is the height approximation of your children when basing it off of his/her parent's height?

well i am taller than my parents my mother is 5'4 and my father is 5'8 and i am 6'3". The formula the dr. uses is just a guess based on averages. They double the child’s height at two years old and add three inches if it is a boy . But like you said that does not take into account grand parents height nutrition or even excersie or lack there of which can all affect height. In my case my great grand father was over 6 feet and so are some of my uncles , and on the other side of the family my grand father was 6 foot so that is where I get my height from. My brother is 21 and is only 5’8 so he won’t be 6’ so it all depends.

Im having serve back pains, please help?

well im 27 weeks pregnant and i have been having the worse back pains imaginable. i think it could be a trap nerve or something but im not completely sure. i cant walk anywhere because it just makes it worse, i cant sit down for the full dinner. the only time im not in pain is when im lying on my left side as the pain only seems to be on my right side so it must just been taking the weight of my right side. sometimes the pain is so intense that tears will be streaming down my face and i cant move or breathe correctly. ive spoken to my midwife about it and she said she would refer me to a physio but that was 5 weeks ago and i havent heard anything and its gradually getting worse, i went and seen her on tuesday and she said she would chase it up but i just want any advise on what it might be and i could help it at all? ive still got 12 weeks or so to go and i dont want to be in this much pain for that length of time. thanks for any advise given

Can a moderate impact cause a stress fracture?

If you got hit on the front of the lower leg it is most likely a stress fracture as there is not a lot of padding between the tibia and the outside world. The best way to tell if it is a stress fracture or ligament is to do an xray or scan and see if the fracture is on the bone. However, a moderate impact CAN damage a bone and a hockey puck is going pretty fast and so if it slammed into the bone with enough force it could hit and result in a hairline fracture. I would suggest the same thing as your doctor and get an xray.

For people who are trying to lose weight...please answer?

I let my self have a bite of what i want and that is it. It usually satisfies my cravings. Also, I keep myself motivated by looking up the heights and weights of famous people so I can remind myself that I can look like them If i just keep going. Also it takes 21 days to break a habit so i figure it must take 21 days to start a new one. With that said, get to day 21 of dieting and it should become easier from there.

So, my husband's uncle is 42 (we are both 22) and he will call my husband's friends like they are his friends and go to their houses and stuff...(he just shows up uninvited). Complicated story, but here goes... A very close friend of mine (ex-boyfriend) is now married and has 3 kids. His only daughter (age 13) has curvature of the spine. I am not certain if this is causing her pain or not, but she seems to be a very active happy young girl. The thing that concerns me is that next month, this girl is expected to go under the knife for spinal fuson surgery. She will be required to be in the hospital for at least a week and will face several months of recovery and therapy afterward. She will even have to donate some of her own blood a month before the procedure in case she needs a transfusion. I know this is not my kid, but I'm worried sick about this. I wonder if this is even necessary. I'm scared that if I say anything, I'll look like the jealous ex-girlfriend who can't move on with my life. New dog stressed and wont eat?

i just got a 13 month old GSD he was imported from germany when he was a baby, by a breeder. She just recently had his hips and elbows checked and he didnt p with one elbow, so she cant breed him. she is a family friend, who wanted to place he dog who she greatly cared for in a good home. so she gave him to me.... he had been with me for a week and i am having a very hard time getting him to eat. he doesnt seem to be settling in. first off he is extremly fussy when it comes to food, he old owner said that he was a really good eatter when she had him, i have some of his old food be he wont even look at it when i feed it to him. he was loosing a little weight before i got him. so his old owner took him to the vets an had a complete workup done on him. everything was fine. so in the last week he hasnt hardly eatten anything, he has lost a lot more weight, he is probley 20 lbs underweight. i was hoping that maybe somebody had experience with something like this and could help me figure out how to get him to eat and put on some weight. are there some supplements for weight gain that i can give him. I have tried many different kinds of food from cheep grocrey store bands to high quality expencive foods, None seem to do the trick. he wont even eat canned food. a friend of mine told me i should try a calming supplement to help him cope with the stress of moving, can anyone suggest a good one? 8 month old yellow Lab dominates 2yr old black lab

We adopted Rex back in March to be a companion to Bo, our 2 yr old Lab. Bo had an older sister prior to this, but she ped last Nov. So, Bo is use to having another dog around. Abby was the dominate alpha dog. Now that Bo is suppose to be the alpha dog, Rex has totally taken over Bo. Its as if Bo is afraid of Rex! It wasn't like that at first when we brought Rex home, but now that he has mively grown, the roles have seemed to change. We have separated them during feedings and they have separate sleeping areas. Bo will not go outside if Rex is out there because he gets attacked! I know Rex is playing and once in a while, Bo will play, but usually quits after a couple of minutes because of Rex's aggressiveness. We walk the puppy and play to tire him out. We walk Bo as well, just not at the same time! I feel bad for Bo because he will just stay upstairs if he knows the puppy is out of his crate. Are there any suggestions out there?

Im trying to build muscle on my arms?

Im a skinny guy not scrawny but decent skinny. I really want to build up my biceps and chest and triceps. I work out with as much weight as ican to complete at least three sets reps of ten. I see that i can work with less weight and do more reps and when i work with a little more weight i do less which way would i benefit and see results from in a short period of time?. the weight im workin with is pretty light so how long should i be resting inbetween my sets and reps?? also is there some kind of supplement i can take to build strength without gaining weight and lookin fat?? in the towns they do have imaginative names, in the city its much easier to number them...if you're on 5th street and need to get to 9th you know which direction to go...if they were named Henderson street and you needed to get to Bridge street you would have no sense of which way to go...

The mother wont allow the father to have much visitation with the son. Its more of her bitterness toward the father than anything. He works alot and when he can he contacts her to see his son but either she says he cant or verbally aults him when he does come to see his son. The father pays her more than what is normal support for his salary but still cannot see his son when he can. She stays at home with the baby and is able to do that because of his financial support.....but still cant see his son when he wants. Various family members have stated that they question her care of the child. The mother doesnt allow much visitation with the father's parents.

Question about Qur'an Memorization?

As salam alaykum- Dear brothers and sisters, al hamdulil lah, I started my process in memorizing Al- Qur'an a few days ago. I started with sura Al- Baqarah- but I'm not sure if that what I should immediatley start with. I have not yet completed Juz- Amma, I have memorized parts of it, and for nearly every sura I can say I have memorized or atleast studied it at some time, if I try to recite the sura, I can't remember it, but when I look in the Qur'an and read it, it is very familiar and i start to remember some of it. I really want to start with Al- Baqarah and go from there, but many people recommend to finish the shorter suras first. On a scale of 4, I'm about a 3 in Arabic, as in, I know the letters and vowels by heart and can read for the most part, but I don't understand all the words (though I look them up in translations). I'm not interested in the actual number of suras that I complete, in time, inshallah, I plan on memorizing the whole thing. I have already started and have memorized nearly 25 ayat of Al- Baqarah, alhamdulilah, and I realize the lengthy ayat to come and am aware that at times, it will probably tak the whole day just to learn one, but as long as I memorize at least 1/2 a page a day- that's my goal. Inshalah, I want to memorize the Qur'an in the shortest amount of time I can, and for a number of reasons I would very much prefer starting with Al- Baqarah and go from there, but many recommend to start from Juz Amma and memorze maybe a few Juz after that then go to sura Al- Baqaraa. For memorization I use a very user- friendly website called Quran Explorer, and I listen to a Qari so that I can make sure I am memorizing the aya correctley, and I recite after him,and when I have the aya down, I begin memorizing it- I split up the longer ones in shorter parts. My dilemma is the order in which I memorize the Qur'an, what is your advice?

My wife and I have had our share of good time and bad times the last 6yr, from financial hardtimes, family issues, career losses, distrust along with 2 beautiful children 3yrs and 11months, 2 new cars, and new home . Though my actions have been most significant in our relationship in a bad way that is. Im pive aggressive, abusive, say mean things when in the heat of the moment, nit picky, controlling, jealous. Yea a complete ***. Mind you she has her fair share of turd stacked up chin high aswell. All this bad history led my wife away as she puts it, She was over, threw with it some time ago which lead her to another man, a bipolar diagnosis, meds a 9 day getta away to who knows where, and back home. While I've been at home and work in her absence with help of my sister with the kids discoverign more about me, and how my role as a husband is important to me, how my actions truely lead the way to good or bad as "The man of the House" clearly i am no man. My wifes absence she said was she needed space, so she got it. On her arrival home, I clearly forgave her actions but she promices nothing, no gaurantee shes head strong now I know it but in a sence weak she hasnt been there for our children for some time now remember my sister. So she's home, and we had intemacy that night, 3 times, then twice next morning, twice and again that night but it didnt feel the same that night, mostly to me cause she was trying to hard to get hers, I think. But she stopped and said it doesnt feel the same, there was no feeling there anymore, it didnt feel like love, I told her that may happen when things like that happen. Her being with another man that is. So we talked and feel asleep. But Monday night after she got in from her pool night 9:45pm, she came in kissed me, left her curtain open as I watched her shower, and I maged on her and had on and off intemacy she said that felt good, I told her I wanted her to be relaxed and it went of for 2 hours. We didnt speak of yesterdays or days before issues. We feel asleep. My wife may leave me whenever she chooses, but im down to the last straw. In my dream I found out that some men secretly plotted a deadly prank on the guy I'm dating. The guy I'm dating is a nice person and isn't mean to anyone so he definitly didnt deserve anything of that nature, especially not to die. I really like him a lot so I decided to foil the bad guys plans & rescue the guy I'm dating. This was taking place at a college campus and the guys playing the prank of death were frat boys. Now my guy I'm dating no longer goes to college, so I'm sure he was there to hear a speech or something. I hitched a ride with my older sister and my two sons were in the backseat. I explained to my sister what I was planning on doing that night and she agreed to stay behind and watch my boys(I saw fireworks). Once in the college it was confusing and hard to find my crush. I saw beautiful white frat girls around and figured he had been with them(Im black and my crush is a white guy) but he wasn't and I wasnt too worried about those girls. The bad frat boys caught onto me and soon they tried to trap me in their with the sororeity girls as hostage. I didnt care too much about them but they panicked. As I found a bathroom vent to escape in I saw that they had my oldest son hostage. Things went too far then and my son became top priority. I showed the sorierity girls the escape vent, and saved my son. The Frat boys had sniper rifles and shot at me but missed. So everyone had to crouch to move around. I finally stopped the bad guys somehow but I only saw a glimpse of my crush and had a hard time finding him again(esp because I woke up).

Teen pregnancy situations? Different?

Like almost everyone else on here said, the situation don't even begin to compare! For one, your son is married and already an adult. Yes he may still be young but he is legally an adult. Your niece can't even legally get a job most places! And yea she is finishing school-at least middle school seeing as she isn't legal to drop out yet either. I've answered your questions before and it sounds a lot like your sister regrets only having one child. Maybe she is ok with your niece having a baby because it'll feel like she has another kid? Just a thought. I hope she realizes that things aren't the way she makes them out to be and I hope you two can get your relationship back. Not that her daughter will necessarily be a bad mom but its hard at that age to even take care of yourself and do good things to benefit you. Sounds like she will need a lot more support then she is getting and I hope your sister gets her head in the right place! Congratulations on becoming a grandma!

Strep throat. Please help?

Hi guys. I have little white spots on the back-left side of my throat. I'm flying out for Orlando tomorrow. Right now I'm trying cayenne pepper mixed with honey in warm water and gargling/swallowing some every 15/30 minutes. I'm abt to go to the doctor for antibiotics. I really need some advice here please. My boyfriend and I have decided to emigrate. It will be 6 months before we leave, and there is a lot of things to sort out. This is my problem: I am considering putting a ban on our love life in the meantime, as an unwanted pregnancy would be a nightmare right now. We've always been careful and used the pill AND condoms, but both have been known to fail. We all know the safest is no at all. I really don't need this added pressure (what with trying to sort everything out about moving), but I also know that it would not be fair to deprive my boyfriend of . Its a subject I don't want to have to discuss with him, as I know he would be devastated at having to give up . Sure, we can pleasure each other in various other ways, but its not the same of course. Its likely that this will cause a lot of problems between us, but the question is, do you think its fair to even suggest it? For the men reading this especially, would you agree to this, if it meant that your girlfriend would have one less thing to worry about when she has so many other things on her mind? (i.e. making the preparations for a new life?) If I was to become pregnant, it would mean that all our plans would be put on hold, or may never happen at all. Remember: a pregnancy would affect us both, so it would be his problem as well as mine. Do you think he would see it from my point of view, or am I being unreasonable? (Also, as soon as we were established in our new life abroad, our life could resume as normal.) Please advise!!!
