Nursing to administration?

I was wondering if this is possible to do.. I know it will take more schooling but I am not worried about that. I am currently in my community colleges pre nursing program and plan on going on to a 4 year university to get bachelors in nursing to become pediatric oncology nurse. I was wondering if it is possible to become a nursing administrator after a few years under my belt? and if anyone can give me the fill in to what a day by day job of an administrator does please let me know... oh and what additional schooling i will need thank you!
